Emergency Responders Called to Crane Elementary School After Hours; No Fire Reported
Emergency personnel responded to Crane Elementary Thursday evening after school hours following reports of a strong electrical burning smell and smoke inside the building.
According to Crane R-III School District officials, the source was identified as a burned-out furnance fan serving that area of the building. There was no fire, and the situation was quickly addressed.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including the Crane Fire Department, Northern Stone County Fire Department, Crane Police Department, Stone County Ambulance District, and Mayor Brannan.
School officials expressed appreciation for the rapid and coordinated response, noting that the issue was contained and posed no ongoing danger.
No injuries were reported.
