The Pirates traveled to take on the Pierce City Eagles on Saturday, with matchups at three levels: 2nd Grade Flag, 3rd/4th Tackle, and 5th/6th Tackle.
The games, originally scheduled to start at 9:00 AM with flag football, were all pushed back to the afternoon to allow for calmer weather.
2nd Grade Flag
In a close game, Crane's youngest team kept things exciting but fell short, 20-28.
Myles had two touchdowns - one on the ground and one in the air to Maverick. Dax also scored a rushing touchdown.
3rd/4th Tackle
The 3rd/4th grade Pirates battled throughout but came up on the wrong side of a 6–20 final.
Kyler rushed for the team's only touchdown.
5th/6th Tackle
Pierce City took quick command of the game, never allowing the Pirates to get their strong run game started. The Pirates were able to hold the Eagles to 6 through most of the game before fatigue set in. Eagles took the win 0-22.
