The Crane Pirates traveled to Marionville on Saturday for a full slate of youth football action, facing off with the Comets across multiple age divisions.

Kindergarten–1st Grade

Crane’s youngest Pirates showed grit and teamwork throughout the day, winning one game and tying one in their double-header against the Comets. Their improvement week-to-week continues to be fun to watch.

2nd Grade Flag

The 2nd Grade Flag team stayed undefeated on the day, winning 24–0 and 28–6 in back-to-back matchups.

Highlights:

• Dax connected with Myles on a 35-yard touchdown pass.

• Dax also found Kaveyn in the end zone for another touchdown strike.

• Both Dax and Maverick added scores of their own on the ground.

3rd/4th Grade Tackle

The 3rd/4th Grade Pirates battled hard but came up short, falling 0–26 to a tough Comet squad. Despite the loss, Crane’s defense made several key stops, showing continued progress as the season rolls on.

5th/6th Grade Tackle

In one of the most exciting games of the season, the 5th/6th Grade Pirates went toe-to-toe with Marionville in a high-scoring contest. Crane trailed 18–20 at halftime and ultimately fell just short, 24–28, after a strong second half by the Comets.

Highlights:

• Keaton rushed for four total touchdowns (including runs of 45, 50, and 64 yards).

• Pryor connected with Keaton for a 75-yard touchdown pass.

• Keaton also recorded a fumble recovery and a tackle for loss, leading both sides of the ball.
