Crane.news Announces $500 Community Scholarship Program - Built to Grow With Community Support
Crane.news is proud to officially announce the Crane.news Community Scholarship, a $500 scholarship created to support graduating Crane seniors as they take their next step beyond high school.
The scholarship has been part of the vision for Crane.news since the very beginning. From the earliest days of building the platform, the goal was never just to report local news - but to eventually create something that could give back in a tangible way. For a long time, the idea existed quietly without the exposure needed to move forward. As Crane.news has grown, so has the opportunity to finally bring that idea to life.
Giving back is at the core of Crane.news. This scholarship is simply another outlet for that purpose - an intentional way to reinvest directly into the community and the students who represent its future.
What makes the Crane.news Community Scholarship unique is that the name isn't just symbolic - it's intentional. This scholarship is designed to grow with community involvement.
Crane.news has committed the initial $500 anchor award, ensuring the scholarship exists regardless of outside support. From there, 100% of all donations made at crane.news/donate, as well as 100% of proceeds from business verifications through ExploreCrane.info, will be added directly to the scholarship fund. Any Stripe processing fees are fully covered by Crane.news so that every dollar goes to students.
ExploreCrane.info, Crane.news' new digital business directory, was built with this mission in mind - connecting residents with local businesses while simultaneously creating a sustainable way for the community to give back. Every verified business partnership contributes directly to the scholarship fund.
The Crane.news Community Scholarship will be awared to a graduating Crane senior - starting with the Class of 2026. Interested students should speak with the Crane High School counselor for application details and deadlines.
Crane.news committed to building a digital home for the community while investing in the students who will shape its future. This scholarship represents a long-term, community-powered effort to continue giving back.
Additional updates will be shared on Crane.news and on Facebook as the scholarship continues to grow. For transparency of the fund, you can visit ExploreCrane.info/scholarship to see the current balance and recent contributions.
