Crane.news has committed the initial $500 anchor award, ensuring the scholarship exists regardless of outside support. From there, 100% of all donations made at crane.news/donate, as well as 100% of proceeds from business verifications through ExploreCrane.info, will be added directly to the scholarship fund. Any Stripe processing fees are fully covered by Crane.news so that every dollar goes to students.

ExploreCrane.info, Crane.news' new digital business directory, was built with this mission in mind - connecting residents with local businesses while simultaneously creating a sustainable way for the community to give back. The Crane.news Community Scholarship will be awared to a graduating Crane senior - starting with the Class of 2026. Interested students should speak with the Crane High School counselor for application details and deadlines.
