
Crane High School Homecoming 2025-2026
Crane High School celebrated its 2025-2026 Homecoming on Friday evening, January 30th, inside the high school gymnasium. This year's Homecoming theme was 'A Tale as Old as Time'. The evening included a partial junior varsity basketball game, followed by the Homecoming coronation ceremony, and concluded with a varsity matchup against Lighthouse Christian Academy.
Students from all four high school grade levels were represented on this year's Homecoming Court, along with basketball candidates, and special roles recognizing younger students from Crane's elementary school.
Homecoming Queen and King
Harper White is the daughter of Jordan White and Jessica Maggard. She is active in both high school and club volleyball and plans to attend esthetician school following graduation.
Owen Vaught is the son of Luke and Whitney Vaught. He partcipates in basketball and track and is exploring opportunities to continue playing basketball at the collegiate level.
Senior Candidates
- Senior Queen Candidate: Harper White
- Senior King Candidate: Owen Vaught
Junior Candidates
- Junior Queen Candidate: Laynie Glossip, daughter of Josh and Kayla Glossip. Laynie is active in cheerleading, volleyball, and student councl and plans to purse a career as a nurse practitioner.
- Junior King Candidate: Griffin Pointer, son of Amy and Cecil Pointer. Griffin partcipates in FFA and plans to enter the workforce as a mechanic after graduation.
Sophomore Candidates
- Sophmore Queen Candidate: Peyton Cutbirth, daughter of Justin and Ashley Cutbirth. Peyton is active in student council, volleyball, FCCLA, softball, and yearbook. Her future plans include playing collegiate softball while studying business, with long-term goals of opening her own salon.
- Sophmore King Candidate: Ely Essary, son of Nick and Ashlee Essary. Ely enjoys baseball and fishing and plans to enter the workforce after high school.
Freshman Candidates
- Freshman Queen Candidate: Kayce McKnight, daughter of Jeramie and Kara McKnight. Kayce participates in basketball and volleyball and hopes to study journalism at Missouri State University with aspirations of becoming a sports journalist.
- Freshman King Candidate: Kaiden Vaught, son of Meghan Vaught and the late Josh Vaught. Kaiden enjoys basketball, hunting, and fishing and looks forward to graduating high school and seeing where his future leads.
Basketball Royalty
- Basketball Queen Candidate: Kynlea Ramey, daughter of Eric and Stephanie Ramey. Kynlea is active in volleyball, basketball, track, and cheer and plans to pursue a degree in civil engineering.
- Basketball King Candidate: Clay Cypret, son of Kristi and Cody Cypret. Clay participates in basketball and cross country and is currently focused on earning his driver's license.
Special Honors
Crowning the evening's Homecoming Queen and King were last year's Homecoming royalty, Lily Woodward and Andrew Faucett, who also escorted the flower girl and crown bearer.
- Flower Girl: Skylar Westemeir, daughter of Corey and Crystal Westemeir. Skylar is a second grader who enjoys cheerleading, crafts, and dreams of becoming a doctor.
- Crown Bearer: Myles Vaught, son of Will and Ashtin Vaught. Myles is a second grader who enjoys basketball, football, drawing, and following his siblings to their sporting events. He hopes to one day play college football and become a police officer.
The Homecoming cornonation highlighted the achievements, involvement, and future aspirations of Crane students while continuing a long-standing tradition of school pride and community celebration.
