Fresh off a championship victory at the 2026 Missouri State Fair, mini mule Thackery Earwicket is ready to jump again!
Representing the Mad Hatter Mules, Thackery Earwicket recently claimed the 2026 Missouri State Fair Championship in the 38-inch-and-under division, adding an exciting title to the eight-year-old, 36-inch-tall mule’s growing jumping career. The Missouri State Fair held its jumping mule competition on August 15 in the Mathewson Exhibition Center.
Now, Thackery Earwicket is headed south to Crane, Missouri, where he is set to compete during the 75th Crane Broiler Festival on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. The historic festival runs August 21–22 at Crane City Park and once again includes the longtime Ozarks tradition of mule jumping.
Come out and cheer on Thackery Earwicket and the Mad Hatter Mules as this little Missouri State Fair champion steps into the jumping box and takes another shot at victory!
Mule jumping will take place Saturday, August 22, 11:00 a.m. at the Crane Broiler Festival.
